Bacon & Brakes

Post by KevinB »

Hi Folks.

It was the first meeting of Bacon & Brakes this morning. therhynd.com/bacon-and-brakes

Held at The Rhynd Cafe, KY16 0DR every 1st Sunday of the month from March to September and organised by motoring journalist Ed Forster.

Maybe a bit too early for classics to be out on the road but plenty of modernish cars.

As my J-H is in about a million pieces, exaggeration but feels like it, we went in my wife's 2004 Smart Roadster Coupe which didn't look out of place.

Kevin,
That looked to be a good get together. Some interesting bits of kit there.
I fully intended getting the Interceptor out yesterday but domestic chores took over. Bad planning on my part. Must try harder.

Yes, it was a good turn out. Probably about half the number of cars there that would be in a few months time.

Between the red Merc Coupe and the Mazda MX3 mk3, is one of the rarest cars - the Alfa Arna. A Nissan Cherry body with an Alfa engine.
"Now that chassis number is particularly interesting ‘cos it’s the one after the one before, which is the one after mine, not many people know that"

Another month gone by another meet at Leuchers. Quieter today, I think there was a supercars gathering at Dundee Museum of Transport. A few images though.

Rocky, search "The Rhynd" on Facebook. They have posted more images.

The Pantera was fired up whilst it was on the transporter. Best described as Loud.
