This is John Donegan's SP. John took over ownership of the car from his father, the car is very well known in club circles and has been on every JOC trip to Classic LeMans (John and wife Caroline organise have been organising a trip to the event for the club since the first one in 2002).

Re: John Donegan's SP
More information from John:
Factory records record 131/4356 as being ordered by Wilmslow Motors on the 14th September 1971. Prior to the October launch at the Motor Show. 131/4356 was delivered to sales on the 12th November 1971 and dispatched to Wilmslow Motors on the 7th January 1972. Wilmslow Motor sold the 131/4356 to a Mr J Scott and it was registered on the 1st March 1972.
Ian Orford told my father 131/4356 is a 'proper' SP having a billet (forged crank), duplex timing chain, twin point distributor and 383 manifolds. Richard Calver records only 42 such SP's with all later engines being prefixed HC and SC.
My father bought 131/4356 from Mr Scott in September 1981 with approximately 34,000 miles recorded. My father had the car refurbished soon after purchase and at that time he had the vinyl roof removed which he disliked. My father only used 131/4356 for high days and holidays.
Unfortunately, my father became ill and the car was not used for several years. In 1997 my father gave me 131/4356 and I spent the next two years overhauling and recommissioning 131/4356. In 2000 131/4356 was road worthy and I have since added approximately 14,000 miles. Total mileage now 59,000.
131/4356 is very original with all the correct items present when the car was new (first aid kit, white gloves, handbook, service book, distributor book, Learjet operation booklet, complete tool roll and complete tool bag. I have the original sales invoice which notes 20 gallons of petrol at 35 pence per gallon!
