Congratulations on your purchase,
I can testify that big Jim Smith will do an outstanding job with the Mechanicals. He services my car every year and despite it being a 400 mile round trip I wouldn't send it anywhere else. Get ready to enjoy it when you get it back.
Regards
Barry

Re: Looking for a good paint job
Hi I would Second Helen's recommendation about Malton Coachworks, very impressed by their trim and painstshop guys and excellent communication at all times. For a full paint job though I would only go to Chris Gregory in Knaresborough, great quality, finish and attention to detail. Chris is a very k...

Re: Hampton Court Concours d' Elegance 2 September 2023
Thanks Richie That's made my day. It was an honour and pleasure representing the JOC and the members of the JOC we met were just different class. Looking forward to seeing them and others at the NEC. As for Harry, it's probably the best bit of advertising he's done for Jensens. Very interesting list...

Hi Stu
Good to hear from you. One of the best bits of advice you gave me right at the outset was Jim Smith for mechanicals(though he's pretty good at fitting windscreens now). Great mechanic and a top bloke.

Jensen Interceptor Mechanical Expert
Just back from taking my 1972 early MK3 Interceptor(BJA 125K) out for a drive in the hills of North Yorkshire and its left me with the beaming smile of the Chesire Cat and a feeling of total contentment. Those of you who have had that drive will totally understand what I am talking about... The cars...

Re: Highly Recommended Mechanic
Hi Jay Thanks for the reply. I saw your car in their when I popped in to see Jim and I can't believe its a one owner car; body wise looks in great condition. I think you already know but you are really going to enjoy driving it once Jims finished on it mechanically. The hard bit is being patient, mi...

Highly Recommended Mechanic
I purchased my first Interceptor MK3 at auction from Brightwell’s in May following some great advice and direction from members of JOC in particular Stu (Mark1Stu). It was in great condition but had spent many years being polished and used very infrequently covering less than a few hundred miles in ...

Re: Int 2 at Mathewsons auction 10th July
Hi Tony I am totally non mechanical and had a look at it pre auction with a mechanic. I was also armed with Stuarts Interceptor buying guide just published in the first edition of: classic.retro.modern.com magazine. It has some great detail which really helped me make my mind up. Would suggest you g...

Re: Int 2 at Mathewsons auction 10th July
Hi John Yes I decided to pass on this one. Having decided to buy my first interceptor I was really grateful to Stu for taking the time to speak to me and giving me some pointers given I am not mechanically minded and not familiar with the nuances of the marque. As a result I am going to take my time...
