The Last JOC Concours Competition? Or not?
In 2018, the decision was made that due to apparent “lack of interest” and changing fashions, the councours competition that year would be the last to be organised.
Accordingly, at the International, (Abbey Hotel Great Malvern) in June, a final Concours was held in conjunction with a Show’n’Shine competition for all cars in attendance.
However, the concours was so successful, and the club has so many newly restored concours quality cars, that it was felt that some sort of effort to have concours in 2019 shoud be considered. What form this could take, and whether we have enough committed members to run it, remains to be seen.
