Re: Baltic Sea Circle 2025

Sounds like an interesting and challenging adventure. Nothing for my Interceptor but I really have to think about if i could volunteer as a co-pilot.

Great Britain looks a bit ... strange ... to me.
That was my thought as well. I guess that is because of the high Testarossa population in the south east aka Rosamunde Pilcher country.

Re: International Weekend 2024

Our international meeting is approaching day by day. I guess meanwhile most of you finished the trip preparations in terms of the mainland europe energy certification. I was lucky to pass it in the first attempt and got it on April 1st. 😇

Hi catolard,
here is a link for freeze plugs but you may get all engine parts from that company as well. Very informative website.

Re: Foldable engine hoist - recommendations

Fully agree. This „chinese crap“ is definitely tough enough to handle a 440 engine. Should be up to the job for engine plus tranny of a 4 cyl Volvo.

Re: Interceptor MKIII - 129/5640 - Complete restoration

In really desperate situations you may use a grease gun. A bit more cleaning effort is the downside and finding the right adapter to connect the gun with the caliper might be a challenge.
Good luck

Hi Catolard,
try to see it positively. The blue seal might be an indication that the previous owner changed the failure prone nylon cam sprocket by more durable components.
Good luck

Re: alternator V-belt

My Interceptor has the Mitsubishi alternator, and currently wears a "Pirelli SPZ 1147 LP 1160 LA" belt. 1147 would be the length but why 1160? And what would AP and LA mean? To give you a concrete answer - LP means „length on pitch“ and is a kind of „effective length“. This length can not...
