Classic cars, real food and real ale, what more could you ask for?
The 33rd Marches Transport Festival will place over the weekend 11th & 12th May 2019 alongside the 11th Ludlow Spring Festival – both events being held in the beautiful surrounds of Ludlow Castle.
The Transport Festival boasts over 180 stunning pre 1985 vehicles displayed in the Outer Bailey of the grounds of the castle. For the past 5 years we have had displays on both the Saturday and the Sunday due to the overwhelming demand from car owners to be part of this event.
On the Saturday of the event we encourage clubs to take part and the decades of vehicles that are displayed are reported and photograhed on by press from around the world. Tractors, small commercials and motorbikes are displayed at the front of the castle for people to enjoy as they approach the castle bringing the event into the town as well.
We always welcome new entries into the event, so if you’re pre-1985 and fancy a fantastic day out enjoying the stunning surrounds of Ludlow Castle then this really is the event for you.
Ludlow Spring Festival and the Marches Transport Festival have come together under the organisation of Ludlow Food Festival who are a ‘Not For Profit Organisation’ working to promote the town and the businesses who trade within it. Having the Spring Festival as part of the event means that visitors get to see over 180 classic cars, 60+ local food and drink producers, free talks and demonstrations, kids activities and of course the infamous SIBA beer tent which will host over 180 real ales in 2016 – certainly an event not to be missed!
Our thanks go to the Earl of Powis and Powis Estate for allowing us the continued use of Ludlow Castle and also to the Ludlow Marches Food & Drink Festival for taking us under their wing so we can continue to run the displays for many years to come.
Happy Motoring!
It may be too late to join us with a car but please contact Rob Heydon for more details / to book.
