Update: as of 07 Sept 2022
FRIDAY 30th SEPTEMBER
Friday night is an opportunity to meet old friends at the hotel and take part in Saturday’s activities without having to set off from home early in the morning.
SATURDAY 1st OCTOBER
On Saturday morning we will be taking part in the Heritage Transport Weekend at the Museum of Rural Life at Churt where the Jensen Owners’ Club will have its own display area. The Museum tells the story of the British countryside with historic buildings to explore ranging from a Shepherds Hut to an WW2 Anderson Shelter and includes The Old Kiln Light Railway. The Heritage Transport weekend is a traditional transport show with pre-1980 classic cars, commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery and steam engines, and buses from the London Bus Museum at Brooklands that we hope to see again on Sunday https://rural-life.org.uk/
Lunch at the Museum where there is a café, or for those who fancy a pub lunch we will have details of a suitable venue nearer the time.
On Saturday afternoon we will be visiting The Robert and Tanya Lewis Collection, this private car collection is near Churt and only 18 miles from our hotel. https://www.zachsgarage.co.uk (Zac of Zac’s Garage is Zac Lewis).
On Saturday evening we will be hosting a 60th Anniversary dinner at Brooklands Museum in the Bluebird Room. Ian Northeast will be giving us an update on his plans for setting a speed record for the world’s fastest Jensen, Sadly the current economic climate and the ongoing effects of Covid have disrupted Ian’s plans to set the record this year, but Ian is always an entertaining speaker and has lots to tell us about his extraordinary turbo-charged and supercharged C-V8.
Set menu, 3 courses with tea/coffee and chocolate, wine may be ordered prior to dinner (drinks are not included in the cost of dinner). Dedicated bar.
To reserve your place for dinner click on the following link to reserve and pay (click here). Last booking date for the dinner reservation will be 19th September 2022, at which point the booking form will be turned off.
Cost: £60 per head including VAT
