For the Saturday Shaun Winfield has arranged a visit to the Beeches Garden Railway Open Day, at Steeple Aston in Oxfordshire. Its about a 45 minute drive to the hotel in Warwick although we may be organising a scenic drive to get there and back.
The famous private narrow gauge Beeches Garden Railway is holding its annual open day on Saturday 24th September.
The railway is a narrow gauge steam railway based on the Himalayan railway in India. The locomotive is British built, originally exported to work on the railway and then rescued from the USA to come and work in Oxfordshire.
Also on display will be the owner’s classic car collection including Ford Model A, a Bristol, etc etc.
The Jensen Owners’ Club have been invited to attend this prestigious event as part of the 50th Interceptor/FF Anniversary celebrations.
Cost is £20 per head and provides unlimited steam train rides and BBQ. Access to the railway workshop, engine and carriage sheds
