Hurst Show and Country Fayre is a unique event held in Hurst, Berkshire, during two full days in June. Established 35 years ago, the 2015 show is over the weekend of June 27th and 28th.
Thousands visit the show every year. Visitors say they like the friendly and rural, non-commercial atmosphere. It is a true village show that takes its support from all members of the local community and gives back generous support to deserving causes within the village and the local area.
By popular demand, the successful fun dog show is on both days this year. The food fair and classic car show, a hit last year, are both expanding. Hurst’s own Magic Circle magician Clive Winterton. will amaze again. Families tell us children enjoy doing things for themselves like giant tugs of war, stroking farm animals, morris dancing and holding owls. See what they told us.
Plans for 2015 already also include: terrier racing, pony rides and displays by search and rescue dogs, falconers and expert horse riders. Rural crafts and produce will be on sale. Ancient country skills will be demonstrated. The colourful cacophony of side shows, bouncy castle, Aunt Sally and skittles, bar and refreshments will ensure wall to wall entertainment for all the family.
We are planning a spectacular weekend. Come both days so you don’t miss any fun!
The Show has raised many thousands of pounds, mainly for local charities and other good causes. St Nicholas Primary School has always been the principal beneficiary. The show also stalwartly supports the local scout and guide movements, Wokingham Red Diamonds Sports for the disabled, St Nicholas Pre-School, and many other good causes.
