An annual event since 1998, the show takes place from 10.30am to 4.30pm in the walled Elizabethan pleasure gardens. A highlight of the Hall season, it has long been one of the north west’s most popular rallies, attracting an eclectic mix of classic cars and motorcycles from the turn of the last century to the present day.
With the first recorded rally taking place in 1902, and held by the Manchester automobile club, Gawsworth has long been linked with the motor vehicle. In the 1940s and 1950s the Hall was also home to Denis Ferranti’s wonderful collection, including a T59 Bugatti that now takes pride of place in Ralph Lauren’s garage.
In recent years, highlights include wonderful eight-litre vintage Bentleys, huge posses of American muscle cars, and dozens of period scooters. All are welcome to come and go as they wish, ensuring a relaxing day for both owners and visitors, with an informal concours and autojumble also taking place.
We hope you can come and join us for what’s always a fantastic event, with a garden party atmosphere.
