Jensen Owners’ Club Concours Competition
This competition is held annually normally on the Sunday of our International Weekend.
The judges mark on cleanliness, presentation and originality in that order of priority.
Prizes are awarded based on position in class. In addition there are a number of trophies for cars deemed to be the best of its model, or most votes by attendees or the JOC chairman’s choice. The top car overall is awarded the Strathcarron Cup. There are also class prizes for the best first-time entries in Bronze.
The current structure of the competition has 3 classes – Gold, Silver and Bronze. The Silver class is further split into classes by model or groups of model. Entry to Gold is by qualification only. Cars receiving at least 80% of the maximum marks in Silver are promoted to Gold the following year. Cars placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in Bronze are promoted to Silver the following year.
The judging of Gold and Silver class cars involves a full inspection of the car inside, outside and underneath. In contrast cars in Bronze class are judged only on what can be seen without opening doors, bonnet and boot lid.
For 2015 the competition takes place on Sunday 21st June starting at 10am.
Any club member wishing to enter should complete the entry form and post/email it to our Concours Secretary as per details on the form.
