Bicester Heritage Sunday Brunch Scramble

The old RAF Bicester bomber plane base has now morphed into the Bicester Heritage village. It is specifically aimed at attracting classic motor car, bike and plane specialists and has renovated several buildings for the first newcomers.On the 15th January while I was travelling back from Australia, they held their 4th Sunday Bruch Scramble. The Motor Transport Yard soon became full, with visitors searching for bacon rolls and cups of coffee to thaw the onset of frostbite. Beside them several Bugattis and Ferraris rapidly ticked cool opposite Austin 7s, Bentleys and a D Type Jaguar. Also out of the mist loomed all manner of machinery, from Ferraris to Porsches (60), Morgans (50) to Morris Minors and even a Bristol Bus; there was an eclectic mix to satisfy all eyes. Enough of the puff – the next Sunday Brunch Scramble meeting is the 26th April and I think Jensen should be present – well, I will be, will you come too? I hope so because these guys need our support. They have runways which will be used for testing purposes and a perimeter track that needs new tarmac at some point.Let me know if you can come, or think you might be able to on the day.

They run from 10.30am to 1.30. You will need to pre-book.
